When I was asked to reinvigorate the infamous Will Bruder Riddell building for the owners of Jackson Hole Title & Escrow, I was a little daunted. It is three towering stories of creative genius and it was important to respect the design while dressing it up. The spirit of the building is contemporary and masculine. The owner and I wanted to add color and whimsy while addressing the challenges of poor lighting and a 30’ dying bamboo tree. We collaborated on a retro-glam theme. I found inspiration in Coco Loco wallpaper from Flavor Paper. It was a risk but so worth it! I balanced the craziness of the paper with subtle, classic pieces like the Eames chairs & Stark Bourgie crystal lamps. A nod to our Western roots is evident in the palomino cowhide ottoman, but most notably with the imaginative art from The Grand Image. The space not only reflects my clients’ sense of fun and creativity, but it has been chosen to be in Design Bureau’s Top 100 Designs & Designers publication!
